Virtual-Agent Services Named to Inc. 500 List
SCHAUMBURG, IL (October 20, 2004) –
Virtual-Agent Services, leading provider of inbound contact center solutions, is ranked #334 on Inc. Magazine’s 2004 Inc. 500. The annual index, announced today, lists the 500 fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S. Virtual-Agent Services (VAS) was founded in 1999 with 35 employees and one contact center. Today, the company operates with a staff of over 650 and a network of ten contact centers.
The Inc. 500 ranks privately held companies according to averaged year-over-year sales growth over the past four years. The companies that made this list have thrived despite continued stagnation in the economy, posting an average year-over-year sales growth of 265%. Over the years, the Inc. 500 has identified the next generation of world-class companies, with Microsoft, Stonyfield Farms, Timberland, Oracle, The Princeton Review, Morningstar, E*Trade, Intuit, and Domino’s Pizza all appearing on the list before they became industry powerhouses. The Inc. 500 Special Issue will appear on newsstands October 26th.
VAS utilizes a unique contact center model called the Distributed Workforce Concept, which allows VAS to locate small centers in rural communities and network them together into one "virtual" center. This allows VAS to ‘bring the work to the people’ rather than requiring people to commute or relocate to find work, all the while maintaining all the economies of scale normally associated with larger consolidated centers. This concept also allows VAS to select and maintain some of the best employees in the business. In an industry where attrition rates can reach triple digits, VAS averages only a 15% turnover across all ten of its locations.
"Virtual-Agent Services is very excited to be recognized by such a prestigious publication as Inc. 500 and to be included among such a distinguished group of companies,” commented Robert Camastro, President and Co-Founder of VAS. “Given our unique contact center model and the high value product it allows us to provide the North American business community, we are looking forward to continued growth and success.”
VAS provides a variety of contact center support options to major companies in a number of different industries including roadside assistance, retail sales, travel and hospitality, and utility services. VAS’ clients include GE Financial Assurance, Passkey, Inc., Luxe Worldwide Hotels, CenterPoint Energy/Minnegasco, TravelCLICK, and Mobil Travel Guide. VAS was recognized earlier this year as one of Entreprenuer Magazine’s Hot 100 fastest-growing new entrepreneurial companies.
