Virtual-Agent Services Contributes to Local Communities

SCHAUMBURG, IL (May 10, 2007) – Virtual-Agent Services, a leading provider of contact center services, continues to grow and reach out to the local communities of New Brunswick.  With over 1,200 employees in 18 contact centers located throughout the province, VAS has tapped into its workforce to recognize and uphold its corporate responsibility to the local communities.

VAS’ unique operating model, the Distributed Workforce Concept, allows the company to bring work to skilled local people without requiring them to travel long distances to obtain work. Creating this kind of opportunity for those in an area with limited career prospects leads to a dedicated workforce environment with employees who take great pride in their communities.

The VAS Chipman location, like many of the others, has exemplified this exceptional community spirit.  This past Christmas season, the Chipman employees participated in a penny drive to contribute to a local telethon’s efforts to raise money for needy children.  The center collected over $700 in pennies and loose change to donate to this cause.

“Our staff is a very proud group of individuals,” boasts JJ Mitchell, manager of the Chipman center.  “They truly believe in taking care of the community and working to improve it in any way possible.”

The generosity of VAS employees is also evidenced by the Workforce Divas, a bowling team comprised of VAS Workforce Analysts.  In March, the team participated in a benefit to raise money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters in the Kings County area of New Brunswick.  The team’s involvement proved to be a great success, and they are already looking forward to taking part in the event again next year.

In addition to the charitable contributions of VAS employees, the company has made a name for itself within the youth community of New Brunswick.  The company sponsors four youth hockey teams: the Moncton Hawkes “AA” Team, the Stanley Bulldogs Midget Recreational Team, Minto’s Grand Lake Wild Atom Recreational Team and Perth-Andover’s SV PeeWee Recreational Team.  The support from VAS has given the teams the opportunity to compete and excel in their respective leagues, while at the same time providing valuable exposure for VAS.

“I had contacted many people about sponsoring our new jerseys, and with no replies it seemed like it wasn't going to happen,” said Michael Hoyt, coach of the Stanley Midget Bulldogs. “Fortunately it did, thanks to the help of VAS.”

VAS currently provides inbound voice services to a number of high profile clients including CenterPoint Energy Minnesota Gas, Luxury Resorts, Admiral Insurance, Roadside Protect, TravelCLICK, Passkey International, Morgans Hotel Group, Dolce International, and Luxe Worldwide Hotels.
